What is Image Gallery?

Image Gallery is an application that runs on your web server to provide you with a customizable portfolio. It can be synced with Neighborhood Maps to instantly map properties entered into the gallery.  It enables you to publish images on your site easily. It integrates with your site to match your branding. You could pay a web developer to create a similar application for your site but it would be expensive. When applications have been programmed, they go through a life cycle of testing, modifying, and testing. This process can take months to complete. We have already done this so you can have a bug-free application without the hassle of creating it from scratch.

What is PhP and MySQL?

Php and MySQL are Open Source programming languages running on Apache web servers to create dynamic web sites. Most web developers either program in PhP/MySQL or Microsoft ASP/SQL languages.

How much does Image Gallery cost?

We are happy to offer clients the latest technology without the development costs. It could easily cost you thousands of dollars to have your web developer create a portfolio tool for your web site. But why spend that much money and invest months of development when you can purchase it bug-free and have it installed the same day?

Image Gallery is available in 2 versions. There are no reoccurring fees for a site license. You must purchase a site license for each site where you intend to use Image Gallery. We also offer discounts for bulk licensing.

Image Gallery and Neighborhood Maps Bundle
Want to capitalize on the features of Neighborhood maps with the ability to show more than one image per location? You need the bundle to integrate the features of Image Gallery with the mapping capabilites of Neighborhood Maps. It is available for $1297 per site license. PlaceVision provides customization of its features for an additional fee.

Image Gallery
Image Gallery is provided with the code in a format that is editable by a web developer. It is available for $997 per site license.  You must agree to not redistribute or sell the edited code.

*A note about customization
If you work with web developers outside PlaceVision to customize your applications, PlaceVision is no longer able to provide technical support for your application. It potentially makes it extremely difficult for you to upgrade to a newer release of Neighborhood Maps and Image Gallery. PlaceVision has a process in place to customize your software so that it does not interfere with your ability to upgrade to new releases.

How do I install Image Gallery?

PlaceVision prefers to install the application for you. If you have purchased web hosting with PlaceVision or one of its partners, we will install the application within a 24 hour time period. Please provide us with your site login information if you do not have PlaceVision hosting.

If you prefer to install it yourself, select the download option. You will receive an email to download the application from our server. You must know how to setup MySQL users and a database to properly  install Neighborhood Maps and Image Gallery.  Installation support is provided for an additional fee.

What is the Image Gallery / Neighborhood Maps bundle?

The bundle does two things at once. When you insert images into Image Gallery, you have the option to add the image into Neighborhood Maps. If you select to add it to Neighborhood Maps, it is automatically added to Image Gallery and Neighborhood Maps. The image in the gallery, links to the image on Google maps, and in Neighborhood Maps the image links to the specific location of the image in the gallery.

What is the Fly Sheet module?

Often, professionals struggle to keep their portfolio current on both the web and in print materials. The fly sheet module reduces the need to layout project pages in a separate graphics program. The fly sheet module enables you to select a preset layout and print directly to PDF or your printer. Print any project page directly from the gallery administration.

Can I password protect my data?

It is possible password protect images in Image Gallery, however it is counterproductive to password protect your portfolio. PlaceVision can assist you in password protecting your portfolio, if necessary.

How often are new releases of Image Gallery going to come out?

PlaceVision intends to release versions of Image Gallery based on user feedback and requests. Releases will occur once a year.

Can I run several Image Gallery applications on one web site?

Yes, but we suggest you purchase enough disk space to support a huge number of images. Depending on how many applications you want to install, we suggest approximately 5 GB per Image Gallery application.

Do I need to purchase multiple site licenses to install Image Gallery multiple times on the same site?

No, you do not need multiple site licenses. However, if PlaceVision is installing the application for you, installation fees apply.
