Community Image Gallery is a simple solution to bring people together who share a common interest. It supports the exchange of images by granting each person the ability to maintain his or her own space in the context of a shared site.

Can I customize the look and feel of Community Image Gallery?

You can customize the look and feel by modifying the style sheet (CSS). The pages are controlled by a series of 8 html pages that can be edited by anyone who has basic html experience. You can easily replace the banner at the top of the page by placing your logo or banner.

How do I administer Community Image Gallery?

If PlaceVision installs Community Image Gallery, you will be given a site administration account. This enables you, like the demo login for Community Image Gallery, to create and delete gallery users. If you install it yourself, site administration instructions are included in the download file.

How much does Community Image Gallery cost?

We are happy to offer clients the latest technology without the development costs. It could easily cost you over a thousand dollars to have your web developer create a multi-user image gallery tool for your web site. *A note about customization
If you work with web developers outside PlaceVision to customize your applications, PlaceVision is no longer able to provide technical support for your application. It potentially makes it extremely difficult for you to upgrade to a newer release of Community Image Gallery. PlaceVision has a process in place to customize your software so that it does not interfere with your ability to upgrade to new releases.

How do I install Community Image Gallery?

PlaceVision prefers to install the application for you. If you have purchased web hosting with PlaceVision or one of its partners, we will install the application within a 24 hour time period. Please provide us with your site login information if you do not have PlaceVision hosting.

If you prefer to install it yourself, select the download option. You will receive an email to download the application from our server. You must know how to setup MySQL users and a database to properly  install Community Image Gallery.  Installation support is provided for an additional fee.

Can I password protect Community Image Gallery?

It is possible to password protect the entire Community Image Gallery. Many hosting companies enable you to password protect files from your Cpanel or hosting account administration. On PlaceVision servers, we will handle this on your behalf.

How often are new releases of Community Image Gallery going to come out?

PlaceVision intends to release versions of Community Image Gallery based on user feedback and requests. Releases will occur approximately once a year.
